Privacy Policy
Information notice pursuant to Articles 13–14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR)
This notice describes how personal data is processed when you visit isbs2027.com, the official website of the 45th International Society of Biomechanics in Sports Conference (ISBS 2027), hosted by the University of Bologna — Department for Life Quality Studies (QUVI) — at the Rimini Campus.
1. Data Controller
The data controller is the ISBS 2027 Conference Organising Committee, Alma Mater Studiorum — University of Bologna, Department for Life Quality Studies (QUVI), Rimini Campus, Italy. You can contact the controller at info@isbs2027.com.
The University of Bologna has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), who can be reached at dpo@unibo.it.
2. What data we process
Browsing data. The systems that operate this website acquire, in the course of their normal operation, some data whose transmission is implicit in Internet protocols — such as IP addresses, request times, and browser type. This data is used only to operate the site, ensure its security, and compile anonymous statistics, and is retained for the shortest time necessary.
Data you provide. If you write to our contact addresses (e.g. info@isbs2027.com), we process your email address and the content of your message solely to respond to your request.
Aggregate traffic statistics. The site may use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookie-less measurement service that collects anonymised, aggregated page-view data (page visited, country, device type). It sets no cookies, stores no identifiers on your device, and does not track you across other websites.
Third-party content. All fonts, stylesheets and scripts are served directly from this website's own domain — no resources are loaded from third-party CDNs or font services when a page loads. The Venue page contains an embedded YouTube video in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): no data is sent to Google unless you click play; if you do, Google processes your IP address under its own privacy policy. See the Cookie Policy for details.
3. Purposes and legal basis
Data is processed to: (a) operate and secure the website — legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); (b) respond to your enquiries — legal basis: taking steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)) or legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)); (c) measure aggregate site traffic through anonymised, cookie-less statistics — legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). No profiling or automated decision-making is carried out.
4. Recipients and data transfers
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., which also provides the optional cookie-less analytics service. Vercel may process technical data (such as IP addresses in server logs) in the United States; transfers rely on adequacy decisions (EU–US Data Privacy Framework) and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. No other third party receives data through this website, and data is never sold.
5. Retention
Browsing data is retained for the limited periods set by the hosting provider's technical logs. Correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to handle your request and any follow-up related to the conference.
6. Your rights
Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You can exercise these rights by writing to info@isbs2027.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority — Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (garanteprivacy.it).
7. Updates
This notice may be updated as the conference services evolve (e.g. when registration and abstract submission open). The current version is always published on this page.
